The spiritual successor to the Pedalboard, the Prime takes modeling and tactile ergonomics to the next level. Its multi-core DSP system has been designed to chain presets seamlessly, while hardware cloning opens the door to signature sounds that are impossible to achieve with standard models alone.

For which musicians and what uses?

Ideal for demanding guitarists and bassists as well as singers, the Prime shines in live situations (XLR/jack outputs ready for the front of house), in the studio (USB interface and reamping), and on a hybrid pedalboard. The two 7-block paths (guitar/vocals or dual guitar) offer rare flexibility. For faithful reproduction of IRs and cab sims, use an FRFR speaker cabinet or send directly to the PA.

Key features to enhance your workflow

The touchscreen interface allows you to drag and drop amps, cabinets, mics, effects, and IRs, with up to 14 slots per rig. The Amp/Pedal Cloner captures the dynamics and character of your real gear, which can then be shared via HeadRush Cloud over Wi-Fi. The practice module loads songs (including from online services) for looping, slowing down, and transposing. The built-in looper layers long tracks, saves to WAV, and syncs to MIDI. Connectivity includes a mic input with +48V, an effects loop, Bluetooth audio, and USB-A/USB-B ports.

The Sound

The Prime delivers a natural response and dynamics that react to your playing like a cranked amp: clean at guitar volume, precise transients, musical sustain. High-resolution cab sims and IRs add breadth and realism, while the mic/voice section ensures remarkable intelligibility, from subtle pitch correction to more pronounced creative effects. Plugged into FRFR or directly into the console, it maintains a consistent and controllable tone from stage to stage.
